Users and practitioners of the award winning Open Source application Mahara gathered this week at Southampton's Solent University to share knowledge, experience and stories of this exceptional eportfolio system.
Catalyst were proud to be co-organisers and sponsors of the 3rd Annual Mahara ePortfolio Conference. Mahara UK11 attracted representatives from Schools and the Higher Education, Further Education and Work Based Learning sectors as well as core developers and contributors from across the UK and the world.
Keynote speaker Mark Osborne's Open to Learning presentation on Albany Senior High School's integration of Mahara, Moodle, Koha and Status.net was well received by delegates and sparked ongoing discussion about the role of eportfolio systems in the life-long education journey (#maharauk11).
The first for a Mahara UK conference, Catalyst also facilitated a half day hands-on workshop and training session for Mahara technicians.
Presentation slides, recordings and photos from the event are being made publicly available on http://maharauk.org
