Delivery Lead - New Zealand - Wellington

Catalyst IT is New Zealand's leading open source development company and has staff worldwide, with the majority (including this role) based in Wellington. We specialize in open source software and web applications, and are a leader in the NZ open source community. We believe that open source, open data and an open business model should and can be the preferred choice.

We are looking for someone experienced in software delivery to take on the responsibility of one of our long-term client projects.

You will primarily be responsible for CabNet, a system that supports the highest levels of government and counts the Prime Minister among its users. In looking after CabNet, you will take on a variety of roles to ensure successful delivery of software enhancements, bug fixes and new features. It is no exaggeration to say that your work will make a significant contribution to the smooth running of government.

You will work closely with the client to manage a BAU pipeline, as well as standalone projects to deliver more sizeable pieces of work. You will need to be comfortable wearing multiple hats, as the role comprises service delivery, project management and team leadership functions, all while fostering positive relations with the client.

You will work with a small team of developers, shared by a number of client projects. As such you will be required to work with other project managers to coordinate resources, and you may take on other projects yourself, particularly those which utilise members of the team.

Building strong relationships will be key to your success, both with the client and with your colleagues at Catalyst.
