On July 17th and 18th the University of Brighton plays host to the 6th Annual UK Mahara Conference. Delegates from across the United Kingdom and Ireland, Europe and even as far as New Zealand, will be attending this two day event co-organised by the University of Brighton and Catalyst IT.
With a spectacular line up of speakers and around 130 delegates, this year's conference is shaping up to be the biggest and brightest yet.
Keynotes from Lisa Gray (JISC) and Aaron Wells (Mahara Technical Lead) alongside presentations from some of the Mahara Community's strongest supporters are nestled in alongside presentations from teaching and technical staff new to the eportfolio system.
As delegates battle it out for the top spot in the Mahara Game, we're seeing the #maharauk14 hashtag trending up a storm and with the evening event at the Brighton Sealife Centre, Catalyst IT get to find out whether sponsoring drinks at a venue with a shark tank is a good idea!
We have been lucky enough to have a set of generous sponsors including Tōtara (http://totaralms.com), Discendum (http://www.discendum.com/) Remote Learner (http://www.remote-learner.net/) and Catalyst IT (http://catalyst-eu.net). It is only with their support we able to bring this event together so our sincere thanks and gratitude to our sponsors.
The University of Brighton and Catalyst IT would like to wish all delegates and sponsors travelling down to Brighton in the next few days, safe travels. We look forward to seeing you soon!
